Destination Wedding Italia
I am a project-based director, because beauty needs structure, rhythm and clear direction in order to express itself.
My role isn’t limited to coordinating a wedding, because coordinating simply means managing what happens. My job, on the other hand, is to direct the project from start to finish.
For a couple, this means one very simple thing: not having to deal with everything, not having to check every detail, not having to chase up suppliers, deadlines, decisions and unexpected issues.
It means having the assurance that your time, your experience and your wedding day are in safe hands, so you can finally let yourself go.
Some might say I’m a wedding planner, but I prefer to say that I’m the director of the most important day in a couple’s life.
My name is Silvia Cicconi. I am a wedding planner and creative director based in the Marche region, working throughout Italy since 2015. I work with Italian and international couples — particularly American and British ones — who have high standards, little time and a clear vision of what they want. Couples who aren’t looking for someone to simply carry out orders, but for someone capable of putting together a plan.
I started out in 2015. Since then, wedding planning has been my sole profession — not a side job, not a hobby turned into a business. It’s a choice I’ve built up over time, methodically, with a structure I’ve developed wedding after wedding.
I come on board a project at the conceptual stage — when the couple still have everything to decide — and stay on until the event is over. At every stage, I am the sole point of contact: for the couple, for the suppliers, for the venue, and for every aspect of the project.
Holding planning, artistic direction and operational management in a single pair of hands is not a commercial advantage. It is a prerequisite for producing a coherent result.Coherence is achieved only if a single vision runs through the entire process.
In 2022, I was named Best Wedding Planner in Central Italy at the Wedding Planners Pro awards — selected from amongst 200 professionals from across Italy. In 2024, I was named one of the Top 3 Destination Wedding Planners at the UKWHA — the United Kingdom Weddings & Honeymoons Awards — in London. I do not mention these awards to boast. I mention them because they are an objective measure of work carried out with dedication over time.
"Before I create a wedding, I devise a concept. Beauty is the result. The structure is the work."
Three areas of expertise that are often treated as separate within the sector. In my work, they cannot be treated as such — because consistency can only be achieved if a single vision underpins them all.
Brainstorming, planning, timetables, budgets, supplier selection, contract management, administrative procedures, logistics. No confusion – just tried-and-tested, effective options, perfectly suited to the couple.
Nothing is left to chance; every question has an answer.
Visual concept, mood board, colour palette, venue styling, coordination of creative professionals. The visual identity of every wedding is established before the logistics are finalised, not afterwards. Beauty alone is not enough: it needs structure to be expressed to its fullest potential.
The ‘Invisible Director’ ensures that the couple can befully presentand that the guests can enjoy themselves, whilst every detail is managed with confidence. Being present is the couple’s only task. Everything else – from managing the staff to keeping track of every detail, from the pace of the day to finding solutions – is my responsibility.
